The National Collaborating Centre for Healthy Public Policy (NCCHPP) has a goal of supporting public health actors across Canada in their efforts to promote healthy public policies  Visit the Website

The Healthy Public Policy Research Group (Groupe d'étude sur les politiques publiques et la santé. GÉPPS) has a research focus on the processes involved in producing public policies, from their emergence to their evaluation, analyzed through the perspective of their impacts on health.  Visit the Website


The Portal plays a role in the development of healthy public policy and contributes to the implementation of section 54 of the Public Health Act through various activities, such as the publication of knowledge syntheses and advisory notices, as well as of studies conducted in Quebec on the relationship between public policy and health.

Several INSPQ reports have the goal of providing information about the impact of public policies on health. Some have the explicit objective of supporting the Ministre de la Santé et des Services sociaux in its role to advise the government, as prescribed in section 54:

Other studies conducted in Quebec are also accessible through the Portal. They provide access to scientific knowledge and analyses, and facilitate a better understanding of the health effects of certain actions (or the absence thereof) by government. This information is made available in order to support the adoption of healthy public policy in Quebec.
